Summer Notes: June 12, 2020

2020 has been an extremely busy year for me, creatively-wise. A new 2nd printing of my Selected Poems 2000-2020 has just been released; Festival City, my latest book of new poetry, was completed this Spring, and Candelabra, a new book of photographs, is also out into the digital realm. 4 issues of Synaeresis (which I've been the editor of) have greeted 2020 as well, and almost six months into the new decade, I'm feeling a little worn. I'm sensing another period of withdrawal from the world and I never really know how long these phases last or if this is "the big one" I felt was coming.

Anyway, if you're reading this, I hope you continue to embrace poetry and the arts and find the beauty in the everyday that can elude us if we're not looking for it. Take care.
